Website Design & Marketing for Small Businesses

Your business does not need to fit one of the categories on our website. Acorn Digital Marketing helps independent shops, creative professionals, and many other small businesses explain what they do, reach the right customers, and make the next step easy. Tell us about your business—we’ll start there.

A useful website starts with understanding your business.

An accountant, a picture framing shop, a video production company, and a laundromat each serve customers in a different way. One visitor may need professional service information; another may want to watch work samples or find the nearest location. We plan your website around those decisions, with clear language and personal guidance.

Acorn has helped small businesses since 1999. Based in Barnstable, we provide practical website and marketing support with direct access to owner Eric Grossman.

What your website should make clear

  • A clear explanation of what you do and who you help.
  • The photos, products, work samples, or service details your customers need.
  • Visible contact information and a sensible next step.
  • A practical plan that fits your goals, budget, and time.

Let’s Talk About Your Website →

Website design shaped around your customers

We organize your website around the information customers need to decide: service details for an accountant, work samples for a creative business, or hours and directions for a local shop. You do not need a finished technical plan. We help shape the content and agree on useful features before building.

SEO that explains what makes your business relevant

We use clear descriptions, page titles, headings, and internal links to explain your actual services. Where local discovery matters, we review Google Business Profile details and consistency across public information. Original examples and useful answers provide a stronger foundation than applying the same keywords to every business.

Digital marketing for small businesses with clear priorities

We help prioritize Google Ads, email marketing, and website content around your customers, budget, and goals. Campaigns lead to relevant pages with clear actions to measure. Reporting distinguishes clicks and inquiries from confirmed sales; advertising spend and third-party fees are identified separately.

A website you can keep useful after launch

We can guide routine editing or provide ongoing content support as hours, services, and work samples change. WordPress hosting and website care support maintenance under your chosen plan. Clear service information, original examples, and practical FAQs also support AI search understanding, without guaranteeing rankings or recommendations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you help if my type of business is not listed?

Yes. The categories on this website show examples of our client experience. They are not a complete list of the businesses we help. Tell us what you do, who your customers are, and what you want to improve. We’ll discuss whether Acorn is a good fit and recommend a practical next step.

Do I need a new website, or can you improve the one I have?

We review the existing platform, content, navigation, and contact paths before recommending a rebuild. Focused improvements may be enough when the underlying site works well. If a redesign makes more sense, we explain the reasons and plan how to preserve useful content and established page addresses.

Can you include products, video, or a portfolio?

Yes. We plan content around what helps your customers decide. That might mean a product showcase, hosted video, project galleries, or service descriptions. Online checkout, booking tools, and other new integrations are separately scoped so the requirements and ongoing costs are understood.

I am not comfortable with technology. Can you guide me?

Yes. You’ll work directly with Eric Grossman, who explains recommendations in everyday language. We can help organize your information and show you the routine tasks you are likely to need. If you prefer to leave updates to Acorn, we can discuss ongoing support.

Should I start with SEO, Google Ads, or email marketing?

That depends on your audience, current website, budget, and goals. We first make sure visitors can find useful information and contact you. Then we discuss the channels that fit your business and how results can be measured. You do not need to commit to every service.

Do you work only with businesses on Cape Cod?

Acorn is based in Barnstable and works with small businesses and nonprofits across Cape Cod and Eastern Massachusetts. We can discuss your location, audience, and project requirements during the initial conversation to determine the right approach.

How much will the work cost?

We discuss your priorities and review what already exists before preparing a written scope and price. The quote identifies the pages, content, features, and support included. Hosting, ongoing updates, advertising spend, payment processing, and paid subscriptions are discussed separately where relevant.
